After After all this time I’m doing cartwheels in my mind Right here Right now Wondering how How How do I start over again? When this isn’t even over yet… Right here Right now Wondering how Landslide Feels like it’s all falling down I’m wondering, is anyone else around? Right here Right now Wondering how Maybe Maybe it’s a crime Or maybe this is just another lifetime Right here Right now Wondering how

Ricochet 02:49
Motorcycles on Sunrise Downtown rodeo Trumpeters & fairgrounds Reveling below Ricochet above the canyon The children sleeping slow I always had a feeling Here and now I know Sometimes no rhyme or reason Sometimes no name for things Just desert lullabies As the dusty river sings Lights shining in the valley In ditches, glass and chrome While up above the clouds The painted horses roam When I was an eagle With feathers gold and white I’d watch you from the branches To my heart’s delight Sometimes no rhyme or reason Sometimes no name for things Just desert lullabies As the dusty river sings Azurite and malachite Like little silver tears I’ll meet you in the mines In another million years Sometimes no rhyme or reason Sometimes no name for things Just desert lullabies As the dusty river sings

Some are red Some are blue Most are nameless For me and you Some get cut down Some grow wild Some blaze like the devil Some glow like a child Some are for temples Some for the fair Some for a secret one Waiting out there Some are for sending Some are to mend Some for the broken A few for the end Flowers of love Flowers of love Some made of plastic Some made of ground Some get lost Some get around Some make garlands Some for a wreath Some in a bouquet Down in the creek Flowers of love Flowers of love Some for a bottle Some for a vase Some in the shadows On a stranger’s face Some are for drunk nights Ending in dew You try to forget them But they hold on to you Flowers of love Flowers of love Some for the water Some for the land One from a hill For a lonesome hand Some are for dresses Some pinned to a shirt Moving together In the wind & the dirt Flowers of love Flowers of love Some like the ditch Some make the train Some like to lay back In the summer rain Some grow fast Some so slow Some times you give up The only one you know Flowers of love Flowers of love

Do You Know 03:01
Do you do you do you Know what i'm feeling? Do you do you do you Know what i'm feeling? I'm feeling so fine I'm feeling in time... Do you do you do you Know what's going down? Do you do you do you Know it's all around? If you're looking you'll find it Tic tock...unwind it... Love love love love love Love love love love love… Do you do you do you Know it's alright? Morning comes around After the longest night If you need it it's there Darkness beware... Love love love love love Love love love love love… Do you do you do you see that light shine? Pigeons waking up on the telephone line… Church bells are tollin School kids are rollin on… Love love love love love Love love love love love…

No Not Me 04:19
I’m going out to Colorado I’m gonna shine like the sun I’m gonna stand back in the mountain Far away from everyone Don’t you know I’d take you with me? But our paths aren’t gonna cross like that… Don’t’ you know I think about you? I've got your feather in my hat No not me…you’re not gonna catch me now Even now I hear you talking Your mind just like a rose So pure and sweet and open Behind your ragged clothes No not me…you’re not gonna catch me now One hand on the bottle One hand on the wheel So many promises made so drunken I need a promise that’s for real No not me…you’re not gonna catch me now

Before gas and TV Before people had cars We’d sit round the fires Pass around a guitar Remembering songs When my daddy was home He’d play along On the spoons and a comb We’d go with the flow When the weather was fine Sometimes we’d go Collecting scrap iron Then we’d sit round the fires Pass a bottle of wine And the tales of the road Since time out of mind If heaven’s like this Well, that’s okay with me Where the living is fine Snd living is free If heaven’s like this Well, then here’s where I’ll be On the edge of the field On the edge of the world Before gas and TV

All My Rain 03:48
All my rain All my snow All my sun All my gold All my weeks All my days All the lines On my face All my mountains All my trees All these laces Around my knees All my cars All my wheels All these devils At my heels All my boots All my coats All my words All my notes All my pockets All my change All these fires Out on the range All I know All I give The end of the rainbow Is just to live…

If I could do this for you I would I would raise this country to your lips & give you a painter’s hands Oh you, the lines on my brow You, the shadows under my eyes Always we watched the world going blind Our country such a mess Our history a stray This stray has its head in my lap & I have nothing to give you Just my eagerness to please you & an open bitterness For your hands without a paintbrush I think I will always see your face That look of fear that calms me But I can’t seem to protect you Even though I try This stray that will never leave me & I have nothing to give you Just my eagerness to please you & an open bitterness For your hands without a paintbrush

Heading Home 03:43
Maybe it was a long road Or a short road That took a long while To wander down Down along the blue-green pines & the trumpet vines With dusty shoes & shadow lines I heard you’re heading back home now… I heard you’re heading back home Against a smoky dawn With a soldier’s song Steadily holding out & holding on Suddenly I remember when You shook your head & storm clouds gathered Around your bed Was it sunset or sunrise? Was it in the sky above or in your eyes That I saw the traces of The smiles of love? I heard you’re heading back home now… I heard you’re heading back home The crossing down Like an acrobat of this & that A circus wire, the perfect act Falling endlessly Unworldly, like the Day Lilly Moving slowly Under the cover of The mountain trees Trains & bells & hurricanes & numbers lined up In dirty lanes Driving down the interstate I heard you’re heading back home now… I heard you’re heading back home Guitar strings & ammunition Metals, meadows & intuition Passing quietly Like a season Dancing like a little boy & an old man Side by side Hand in hand I heard you’re heading back home now… I heard you’re heading back home

I have a letter in my hand I have a letter in my hand All the way from Washington Will we lose what we have won? I have a letter in my hand See that circle in the sand See that circle in the sand I was angry with my friend See the fire across the land See the circle in the sand She was telling me no lie She’s been telling me no lie Hear them calling, hear their prayer Hear the sinners everywhere Oh she’s been telling me no lie He had a suit he wore of grey He had a suit he wore of grey They made it in a factory They rang the bells, he kept us free He had a suit he wore of grey He had a letter in his hand He had a letter in his hand He held the letter to his chest See the dove upon his breast He had a letter in his hand Now she goes dressed all in black She goes dressed all in black She holds him in her memory They ring the bells, they kept us free Now she goes dressed all in black I have a letter in my hand Oh I have a letter in my hand All the way from Washington Will we lose what we have won? I have a letter in my hand

Back to You 03:31
Unable to concentrate Digging for words My hands in my pockets & My mind a blur Thinking of drinking Thinking of you I’m going sailing In an old wooden shoe I feel like sailing right back to you… I’m going sailing Up over this town I’ll sail so high I’ll never come down & Late in the evening I will leave you a poem & watch through the window To make sure you get home I feel like sailing right back to you… Maybe one day You’ll change your mind & fancy yourself The traveling kind If you don’t have a sailboat Or an old wooden shoe As the city lies sleeping I’ll make room for two I feel like sailing right back to you…

Receiver 03:29
Don’t tell me what to do Don’t tell me what to say Just tell me where you go When you go away With your head in the clouds & the rain coming down In a song Sometimes you stay so long The world’s getting mean Maybe it always was? Why do I love you? Well just because Your head’s in the clouds With the world coming down In a song Where it belongs Hey receiver Yeah receiver Sending out a message of love Don’t want to see the faces Behind the door Leading the masses Off to war With their heads in the clouds & the smoke coming down In a song Oh what went wrong? Hey receiver Yeah receiver Sending out a message of love Oh doctor, oh brother Bells rining, voices singing Radar bringing a message of love I see you still Walking down the hall Dressed in black You ain’t too tall With your head in the clouds And your love coming down In a song Where you belong Hey receiver Yeah receiver Sending out a message of love Hey receiver Yeah receiver Sending out a message of love

Suffer without suffering Rise my only rose Idleness is going As idleness goes Take back what you gave to me Take back what you said Give up this wild giving That’s been taking you instead Rise my only rose Don’t tell what we have done Don’t tell what it has cost But keep in idle moments An eye on what we lost Rise my only rose Give back to me my gentile heart That you never found was true Haunted by this idleness What use is it for you? Rise my only rose O keep in idle moments Keep still in idle moments your wild suffering
